VIN Decoding

Most vehicles have a VIN barcode that can be scanned with a barcode reader. These VINs can then be decoded by Motor’s VIN decoding database and the QuickTouch software will automatically fill or correct the year, make, model and engine on the customer’s vehicle records.

VIN barcodes are either under the windshield, under the hood, or on the driver’s door jamb. VIN scanners read and relay the information to the POS computer for permanent storage.
